FAAC welding and fabrication in Henderson typically costs $350 to $1,400 installed depending on whether we’re repairing a cracked swing-arm bracket, rebuilding a bent slide-gate frame, or fabricating a new mounting plate for an operator. We stock FAAC-compatible steel, aluminum, and hardware on our trucks, so most fabrication repairs are completed in a single visit. The way most Henderson owners discover they need this work is simple: the gate starts sagging, scraping, or binding, and the problem isn’t the motor. It’s the metal around it.

FAAC operators are built well, but the brackets, frames, hinges, and mounting surfaces they attach to take abuse from wind, heat, and daily cycles. When those fail, the fix isn’t a new motor. It’s a welder who knows exactly where FAAC hardware mounts and how much clearance each model needs. That’s what our crew does, and Lonnie Burke has been welding since his days at Cerritos College, where he trained in metal fabrication before spending years on gate systems across Southern California and now Henderson.
Which FAAC Models This Applies To
FAAC swing operators, from the compact 390 and 400 series up through the heavier 750 and 770 models, all rely on fabricated brackets and mounting plates that are specific to the installation. The S450H and C720 slide operators have their own rack brackets and chain idler mounts. The common thread is that none of these parts are universal. A bracket from a BFT or LiftMaster operator will not line up with FAAC bolt patterns, and forcing it only creates a second problem.
The quickest way to identify what you need is the model plate on the operator itself. FAAC stamps the series and voltage right on the housing. If the plate is gone or illegible, we measure the bolt spacing and the operator’s throw distance to match it. For aftermarket fabrication, we cut from the same gauge steel the OEM part uses and mill the slots to FAAC specifications. We’ll tell you honestly when an OEM replacement is the better call, because the price difference on some FAAC hinge brackets is small enough that aftermarket labor doesn’t pay. Henderson’s dry heat is actually easier on steel than coastal salt air, but the summer sun still cooks powder coat over time, so we prime and seal every fabricated piece before it goes on the gate.

Signs Your FAAC Welding & Fabrication Is Failing
- The gate sags at the hinge side even after hinge bolts are tightened. The hinge plates or post brackets have stretched or cracked at the weld points. This is the most common fabrication failure we see on FAAC swing gates in Henderson, especially on heavier ornamental steel gates.
- The operator makes a grinding or ratcheting noise but the gate barely moves. The mounting bracket has shifted or cracked, putting the drive gear out of alignment with the gate’s pivot point. The motor is fine. The geometry is not.
- You can see daylight through a crack in a weld, bracket, or frame tube. Metal fatigue has reached the point where the structural integrity is compromised. A cracked weld on a moving gate gets worse fast.
- The gate scrapes the ground or the post on one cycle but not the next. This intermittent binding usually means a frame member is flexing because an internal weld has failed. The gate looks straight while it’s still, then distorts under load.
- The manual release works smoothly but the operator struggles. When a gate swings freely by hand but binds under power, the operator’s mounting surface is flexing. That’s a fabrication issue, not a motor issue. We find this regularly on older FAAC 750 installations in Henderson where the original mounting plate has finally given out.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
Here’s what FAAC welding and fabrication work typically runs in Henderson:
- Weld repair on a single crack (hinge bracket, frame seam): $250 to $450
- New fabricated mounting bracket for an FAAC swing operator: $350 to $600
- Straightening and reinforcing a bent slide gate frame: $500 to $1,000
- Full mounting plate fabrication with new hardware and alignment: $700 to $1,400
The final price depends on how much cutting, grinding, and finish work the job requires, plus whether we’re working with steel or aluminum. Every quote is written before we start, and you approve that number. The price does not move at the door. All fabrication work from Carver Gate Repair Henderson carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: a written guarantee on every repair, good for a full year. If the weld fails or the bracket breaks inside that window, the second visit is free. No charge, no argument.

DIY or Call Us?
Some things you can safely check before calling. Remove debris from the track on a slide gate. Tighten bolts that have obviously loosened. Look for visible cracks and take photos. That helps us quote the job faster. What you should not do is attempt a structural weld on a gate that’s under load or still attached to an operator. A gate swinging or sliding under the wrong conditions can crush, pinch, or drop on a person, and a cracked weld under tension can break without warning. If the frame is cracked, the grain structure around the crack is compromised, and cosmetic patches don’t fix that. This is the kind of work where the right welder, the right alloy, and the right joint prep are the difference between a repair that lasts a decade and one that fails in a season.

FAQs
Properly welded and sealed steel fabrication on a FAAC gate should last 10 to 15 years in Henderson’s climate. The parts that fail sooner are almost always the original brackets or hinges that came with the installation, especially if they were under-specified for the gate’s weight. Our fabricated replacements use heavier gauge steel and full-penetration welds, which typically outlives the original hardware. Call (775) 307-6571 for an exact quote on your gate – estimates are free.
Most cracked brackets can be welded and reinforced if the surrounding metal is sound, though some FAAC hinge brackets are thin enough that a new fabricated piece is cheaper than the labor to repair the old one. We’ll tell you which applies to your specific part before any work starts. Call (775) 307-6571 and we’ll assess it on site.
Most single-bracket repairs or crack welds take one to three hours on site, including cool-down and finish work. Full frame straightening or new plate fabrication can take a full day. Slide-gate frame rebuilds sometimes require two visits because the powder coat needs proper cure time. We’ll give you a straight time estimate when we quote the job.
We stock common steel stock, bracket blanks, hinge kits, and FAAC-compatible hardware on every truck, plus parts for LiftMaster, Mighty Mule, and Ghost Controls systems as well. If your job requires an OEM FAAC component we don’t have, we can usually source it same week from our supply chain. Call (775) 307-6571 and we’ll confirm availability for your model before you book.
